Kathie L. Gilbert

Kathie L. Gilbert, 62, of Reading, passed away in the morning hours Thursday, March 22, 2018 of natural causes in Penn State Health St. Joseph, Bern Township. Born June 8, 1955, in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Emerson & Althea (nee’ Bassler) Gilbert. A 1973 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, Kathie went on to serve her country in both the US Army and US Navy, retiring in 2001. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie R., wife of Michael L. Chelius, Womelsdorf, and by a number of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Bohn. Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
