Charles L. "Chick" Murdough

Charles L. “Chick” Murdough, age 86, of Heidelberg Twp. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joann (Yeagley) Murdough.

Born in Reading on October 25, 1934 a son of the late E. Lincoln and Margaret (Master) Murdough.

Chick was a graduate and class President of Robesonia High School class of 1952, a 1956 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, and proudly served in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox from 1956 to 1958 as First Lieutenant in the 6th Armored Cavalry.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Robesonia and enjoyed collecting and restoring WWII vehicles.

Chick was the owner of Murdough Landscape Services in Robesonia since 1963.

He is also survived by his children, Cynthia Murdough, Thomas Murdough, Patricia Doughman, and Andrew Murdough; son-in-law, Scott Doughman; grandchildren, Emma Doughman, Jake Doughman, Hayley Murdough, and Drew Murdough; brother, James (Janice) Murdough; and nephew, Adam Murdough.

He was predeceased by an infant son, Michael; and a sister, Barbara Murdough-Bricker.

His family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the T2 Nurses and Tower Health Hospice for the excellent care given to their father.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Gathering that will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at 370 W. Oak Ave., Robesonia, PA 19551.
