Robert (Bob) Joseph Barnes, 79, born on October 15, 1941 in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, PA, passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, February 13, 2021, in Reading Hospital. Bob was married to Carol (Reim) Barnes for 57 years. He is survived by one son, Wayne and his wife, Shawn; three grandchildren, Carien Barnes and her husband Nathan, Taylor Barnes, and Cayden Barnes; one great grandchild, Asher Barnes; a brother, Ronald Barnes; a brother-in-law Walter Reim and his wife Betty; and many nieces and nephews. Bob enjoyed playing checkers and riding his bicycle. During his early years, Bob was a member of the Bux-Mont Bicycle Club and played the trombone with Rehoboth Methodist Church and his school band at Frankford High School in Philadelphia. Bob was a loyal worker for Merck, Sharp and Dohme, West Point Division, for 35 Years. Bob will be missed by many. A celebration of life gathering for the family will take place in the future.
