I got to know Julia late in her life, over the past few years. She was always very excited to see her son Martin III and me on our regular visits to her home in DC. Moreover, I got to know a lot about her life and that of her late husband, Martin II from Martin III on our trips. He told me all about her generosity and care of others, her tenacity and interest in human rights, and love and adventures of family. She found and enrolled her son Martin into The Field School for high school, which he credits as a critical key to providing a remarkable educational environment and springboard to his lifelong success. I am grateful for having gotten to know Julia M. Brossman.

Martin, I was sorry not to be able to attend the funeral. Aunt Judy had a vibrant and memorable personality. Her curiosity about the world and eagerness to keep learning and experiencing were very influential in shaping my own goals. I will miss her, and I wish you and Barbara peace. You did your best to have Aunt Judy well cared for and able to stay in her own home, things that I am sure she was grateful for.

Martin and Barbara,

Aunt Judy was such a positive force in our lives and she will be truly missed. She had that spark/sparkle in her eyes at all times depending on the issue! We loved her and will always think of her. Our times together were so much fun. Maybe when you finally retire someday, we can recreate her putz. Love always, Sandy, Frank and Derek Jablonski
